No. Mecklenburg County says not to cut, clear, excavate or otherwise disturb the property before you talk with the soil scientist.
What kinds of septic systems are there in North Carolina?
The most common is a conventional system: a tank and gravity-fed drain lines. Where the soil or slope doesn’t allow that, systems use a pump tank, low-pressure pipe or other designs.
