Town Sewer or Your Own Septic System?
Wadesboro is the Anson County seat, and the town’s Public Works Department runs water and sewer service for its customers. Past those lines, the houses, farms and small businesses around Wadesboro treat their own wastewater with a septic tank and drain field. Those systems are the ones we pump, inspect, repair and replace.
We work out of Albemarle, about 30 miles up the road, and we are licensed and insured under NC license #9407I. Founded in 2023, backed by over a decade of hands-on septic experience. Call or text (704) 218-9070, book online or request a quote.

Pumping & inspections
Septic Service Wadesboro NC: Pumping, Inspections and Repairs
A pump-out clears the sludge and scum before they reach the drain field, and on slow Anson County soil, a field that gets clogged with solids is hard to bring back. The EPA says household tanks are typically pumped every three to five years. We find and uncover the lids, pump the tank, check the baffles and filter and tell you what condition it is in. See septic tank pumping.
Buying or selling around Wadesboro? Our inspection covers the tank, the baffles, any pump tank and alarm, the drain field area and a camera look at the lines when needed. Pumping is a recommended add-on, not a requirement. See real estate septic inspections.

Soil
Triassic Basin Soil Around Wadesboro
The town gave its name to the rock underneath it. The Wadesboro basin is Triassic sandstone, siltstone and mudstone, and the NC Geological Survey homeowner guide cautions that many Triassic sites fail the perc tests a conventional drain field needs. Drive 7.4 miles south of town on NC 109 and you reach the spot where soil scientists described the White Store series; the Polkton series was described south of Polkton, to the west. Both are slow to take water.
Not every lot is that tight. Mayodan soils, also formed from Triassic material, are very deep and well drained. In NRCS soil data, most rated soil map units around Wadesboro are still listed as very limited for conventional septic absorption fields, which is why so many Anson County permits call for a pump tank with LPP or drip lines.
Permits
Anson County Environmental Health and Septic Permits
Anson County Environmental Health, part of the county health department in Wadesboro, handles onsite wastewater permits (704-994-3397). Its staff spend most of the day in the field, and the office lists 8:30 to 9:30 in the morning as its daily office hours, so call ahead.
Before the soil specialist visits, the county’s application expects zoning approval, a deed or plat, flagged property lines and a staked house site; our Anson County page walks through each step. If you are adding onto a house, the county may want the existing tank found and uncovered first. We do that. State setbacks still apply: 50 feet from a private well, 10 feet from property lines and 5 feet from the foundation.
East of town, Blewett Falls Lake on the Pee Dee River is a Duke Energy reservoir and a public water supply. Duke’s Yadkin-Pee Dee project guidelines list it as a Water Supply-IV reservoir and describe a vegetated buffer of at least 30 feet from full pond under state rules. Lots near the water can face tighter limits; the county permit tells you where a system can go.

Repairs & installs
Repairs and New Systems for Anson County Ground
We repair lines, baffles, distribution boxes, pumps, floats and alarms, and we repair or replace failing drain fields under a county repair permit. See septic repairs.
What we install
Conventional trenches where the soil allows; chamber and panel block systems; and on the slow Triassic soils, low-pressure pipe (LPP) and drip systems with a pump tank. We set concrete or plastic tanks as part of the complete install, not as stand-alone tank sales. See septic system installs.

Engineered systems
LPP and Drip Maintenance Around Wadesboro
A pump system only works if the pump, floats, alarm, filter and lines do. If your operation permit requires a certified subsurface operator, Dahl Septic Services has one who can take on the scheduled checks and paperwork. See LPP and drip maintenance.
More services
Tank Locating, Decommissioning and Site Work
We find buried tanks with a probe and a sonde, camera lines and add risers. When a property connects to town sewer or a tank is taken out of service, we pump it and crush or fill it in place; see septic tank decommissioning. And for a new system on a wooded or overgrown lot, we handle the clearing and grading; see land clearing and site work.

FAQ
Wadesboro septic questions
Is my Wadesboro home on town sewer?
If the Town of Wadesboro bills you for sewer, you are on the public system. Homes outside the town’s sewer lines use septic, and a bill with water but no sewer charge points to a septic tank.
Why do so many Anson County lots need LPP or drip systems?
Much of the county sits on Triassic rock, where soils such as White Store and Polkton drain slowly. The NC Geological Survey notes that many Triassic sites fail the perc tests a conventional system needs.
Who issues septic permits for Wadesboro?
Anson County Environmental Health, part of the Anson County Health Department in Wadesboro, at 704-994-3397.
How do I prepare a lot for the Anson County soil evaluation?
Confirm zoning, flag property lines every 50 feet, stake the house and driveway, and clear heavy brush without removing soil. One evaluation covers up to 2 acres.
Can you find and uncover my tank for a permit visit?
Yes. We probe for the tank, dig to the lids and can add risers so it is easy to reach afterward.
How often should my tank be pumped?
The EPA says household tanks are typically pumped every three to five years. Pump systems need their own checks on the schedule in the operation permit.
What are your hours?
