Septic Tank Pumping and Inspections in Marvin, NC

“Many Village residents have a septic tank and well.” That’s from the Village of Marvin’s own utilities page. Union County provides water and sewer where it’s available, but across a lot of Marvin, it isn’t. If you live off Marvin Road, New Town Road or Waxhaw-Marvin Road and your house has no sewer bill, your septic system is doing the work.

Dahl Septic Services keeps those systems working. We’re a licensed and insured septic company (NC license #9407I) led by an owner with over a decade in the septic field. Call or text (704) 218-9070.

Septic tank pumping in Marvin

A septic tank holds the solids so the drain field doesn’t have to. Over time the solids build up, and if nobody pumps them out, they move into the field and clog it. Pumping every 3 to 5 years prevents that for most households.

Our pump-outs include finding and opening the lids, pumping the tank fully, and checking the baffles and filter. You’ll get a plain-English rundown before we leave. More about pumping | Schedule online

Septic inspections when a Marvin home changes hands

Buying in Marvin after a lifetime on city sewer? A septic inspection is the step that tells you what you’re buying underground.

  1. We find the tank with a probe and a sonde, so you’re not paying for guesswork.
  2. We open and inspect the tank and check the drain field area.
  3. If the lines need a closer look, the camera goes in.
  4. The written report comes back the same or next day.

Want the tank pumped too? We recommend it, but the inspection doesn’t require it. Septic inspections

Repairs, new systems and engineered-system maintenance

Marvin’s development ordinance requires that any lot not served by public sewer have an approved septic system, and that subdivision plats show the system and its repair area. That repair area is your backup if the first drain field fails. We repair lines, pumps and fields, and when a repair permit calls for using that backup area, we do the install. Pump tanks, low-pressure pipe and drip systems need scheduled inspections under Union County’s operation and maintenance program. We handle that as part of our subsurface maintenance work.

“Very pleased with my first service by Dahl Septic Services. SO hard to find service providers who will commit and show up as promised. Very professional and pleasant to work with -office and field technicians!”

Union County permits for Marvin properties

Septic permits and records for the village are handled by Union County Environmental Health (704-283-3553, unioncountync.gov). Use the county’s online septic permit search to find your system’s original drawing. If you’re adding a pool, deck, garage or bedroom, the county inspects the existing septic system before it signs off.

Marvin also borders South Carolina. If your property is across the state line, permits there come from South Carolina, not Union County.
